Antiquing Weekend

Plan your weekend of choice to shop in two of the largest antique malls. There are also many other small shops in the Big Valley and State College area. Pick the weekend or weekday that suits your schedule.

Wednesday's 2 Big Valley Flea Markets (Belleville & Reedsville)

The Belleville Livestock Market is held every Wednesday year round, but during the summer many outside vendors, including the local Amish, will have their produce and baked goods offered. It's like a county fair every week! We're only 3 miles down the road from the sale barn.

The Dairyland Complex hosts an antique only flea market, sure to attract the antique collector (March through Oct Only).

Big Valley Antique Center in Milroy offers two floors of antiques, all under one roof, rain or shine! Open all week year round.

Many other small shops are open during Wednesday's "sale day". It's a small community with a big gathering every Wednesday.

EAST BROADTOP RAILROAD

We're only 30 miles from the EBT Railroad. Enjoy a day riding the rails of this narrow gauge railroad. Visit their website for details at www.febt.org

A sure winner with the little kids and big kids too!

Spend a couple days in the Big Valley, visiting Amish run general stores, bake shops, quilt shops and furniture stores. Plan a visit and shop for your spring plantings, summer and fall produce, fall mums, and Christmas flowers. Our Amish residents have beautiful greenhouses, gardens and orchards, plentiful and inexpensive for your needs. Just think......a restful visit to the BnB and do your shopping at low prices. What you save shopping could pay for your night away!

Also near by is the Juniata River for great fishing, plus numerous trout streams to try your luck. Lake Raystown is only 30 minutes from our door step, where you can fish, boat or swim. Greenwood State Park and Whipples Dam State Park are very close; a short 20 minute drive and offer swimming and fishing.

Juniata College and Penn State University are only a 30 minute drive. Need rooms for graduation dates or sporting events? Call for available dates.
