Welcome to our field stone farm house built around 1830 by Philip Weiler and his wife Margaret.  Join us for a refreshing stay in an atmosphere of peace and relaxation.  Step back in time as you explore our  rural heritage among one of Pennsylvania's Amish communities.   If your life is complex, get back to the simple basics with a visit to our bed and breakfast.

Why not plan your own "self-retreat"?

Don't forget, we're in the heart of "Whoopie Pie" heaven!  NY Times recently ran an article on the comeback of the Whoopie Pie; our area has Amish whoopie pies year around in many different flavors!

Our next project is to remove the stucco. to expose the natual field stone.

Interested in bird watching?  Jacks Mountain is at our back door and a highlight for bird watching.  At the top of the mountain is a lookout and favorite spot for the local birding club to watch and count migrating birds.  Visit their website for organized watches at www.scbirdcl.org (State College Bird Club) or the worldwide website at www.birdingpal.org

The top of Jacks Mountain is also the jump off spot for a group of Hand Gliders.  When the winds are right, the sky is aglow with colorful gliders.

Alaska Motorcycle Tours

Rob & Nicole were our inhouse construction crew, renovating our BnB for our opening in 2007.  They have now returned to their love of Alaska, working as motorcycle tour guides.  When not working, they enjoy fishing for salmon and halibut.  Previously they spent their winters at the BnB, but now split their time in Oregon and other countries.  Last winter it was cycling through New Zealand, while this year it's a tour through Chile and Argentina.  Guess what their customers inquire the most about?  The Pennsylvania Amish!  Join us and see the Amish farms first hand and park your cycle in our pole barn.
